The Shadowing Program utilizes Terrie’s relationships to enlist friends, business executives, and established professionals to allow a young person to “shadow” them for a day. Youth get to experience a professional business environment and gain knowledge into the workings and daily routines of a corporate office. Young people can never aspire to anything if they aren’t exposed to new and different worlds.
- Leonitha Francis – Terrie brought Leonitha, a 17 year-old high school student, to The Women’s Monthly with a Public Relations Professional at the Shark Bar in NY. Leonitha was able to meet 10 female public relations professionals and learned various tips about getting into the PR field and finding the best schools for that career choice.
- Ruxton McDougald – Ruxton shadowed Terrie at various meetings throughout 2004. Ruxton was able to shadow her at Panasonic’s Black History Month presentation with Panasonic executives—his first time in a corporate dining room—and at the Sony Classics meeting* in which he was given a chance to voice his opinion on the pre-screening of Mario Van Peebles’ “BaadAsssss” (*a new business meeting to discuss strategizing of The Terrie Williams Agency’s handling of this film).
